Where there is a conflict between these Terms and the specific terms displayed by the booking platform at the time of purchase, the applicable booking-platform terms may govern that reservation to the extent of the conflict.

HOTEL PICKUP

Where hotel pickup is included, the customer must provide accurate hotel and accommodation information.

Customers should be ready at the confirmed pickup location at the confirmed time.

Pickup times may occasionally change due to:

  • Traffic
  • Road conditions
  • Weather
  • Sea conditions
  • Other customer pickups
  • Ferry or boat schedules
  • Operational requirements
  • Government restrictions
  • Other circumstances outside our reasonable control

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes.

CUSTOMER DELAYS AND NO-SHOWS

Customers are responsible for being ready at the confirmed pickup point on time.

Where hotel pickup is not included, customers are responsible for arriving at the specified meeting point on time.

Customers should carefully follow the meeting-point instructions provided by Yonazi Travel.

SHARED TOURS

Shared tours may include other travelers.

Customers booking a shared tour should expect:

  • Shared transportation where applicable
  • Other guests
  • A scheduled itinerary
  • Fixed departure times
  • Limited flexibility
  • Shared boats or other services where applicable

A shared tour does not guarantee an exclusive experience.

PRIVATE TOURS

A private tour is reserved for the travelers included in the private booking.

However, certain destinations and facilities may remain public or shared with other visitors, including beaches, marine areas, conservation areas, national parks, roads and attractions.

ITINERARIES

Published itineraries describe the intended experience.

The exact order, timing, duration or location of activities may change because of:

  • Weather
  • Sea conditions
  • Tides
  • Safety
  • Wildlife behavior
  • Conservation requirements
  • Government restrictions
  • Road conditions
  • Ferry schedules
  • Flight schedules

  • Tides
  • Visibility
  • Weather
  • Marine traffic
  • Conservation rules

The captain, guide or responsible operator may change the route, location or activity where reasonably necessary for safety.

DOLPHIN EXPERIENCES

Dolphins are wild animals.

Yonazi Travel does not guarantee dolphin sightings, close encounters or swimming with dolphins.

Wildlife behavior is unpredictable and cannot be controlled.

Our guides and boat operators are expected to prioritize responsible and safe wildlife interaction and may decide not to approach dolphins or may end an interaction where circumstances require it.

The absence of a dolphin encounter does not automatically constitute a failure to provide the booked service where the activity has otherwise been substantially operated as advertised.

SNORKELING

Snorkeling is conducted in a natural marine environment.

Water visibility, currents, marine life and snorkeling conditions can vary.

Yonazi Travel cannot guarantee the presence of specific marine animals or particular underwater conditions.

Customers must follow all instructions given by the guide and boat crew.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Customers must follow reasonable safety instructions given by:

  • Guides
  • Captains
  • Drivers
  • Activity operators
  • Park authorities
  • Government authorities
  • Other authorized personnel

Yonazi Travel may refuse or terminate participation where a customer creates a serious safety risk to themselves, staff, other guests, wildlife or property.

Some activities involve:

  • Swimming

  • Boat travel
  • Walking
  • Hiking
  • Uneven terrain
  • Heat and sun exposure
  • Long travel times

Customers should seek appropriate professional medical advice where necessary before participating.

Relevant health, accessibility or dietary requirements should be disclosed to Yonazi Travel before the activity where they may affect safe or suitable participation.

CHILDREN

Children may participate in activities where permitted by the applicable activity and safety requirements.

Parents, guardians or accompanying adults remain responsible for children in their care.

Certain activities may have age, height, swimming or other safety restrictions.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering the full duration of your trip.

Depending on your itinerary, appropriate insurance may cover:

  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Cancellation
  • Trip interruption
  • Lost baggage
  • Travel delays
  • Personal belongings
  • Marine activities
  • Safari activities
  • Adventure activities

Customers are responsible for checking the scope and exclusions of their insurance policy.

  • Other wildlife

Customers must not chase, touch, feed, harass or deliberately disturb wildlife.

National parks, marine parks and conservation areas are governed by rules established by the relevant authorities.

Access, routes and activities may be changed or restricted because of:

  • Conservation requirements
  • Wildlife management
  • Weather

Yonazi Travel cannot guarantee access where the relevant authority closes or restricts an attraction.

Customers are expected to respect:

  • Local communities
  • Local customs
  • Wildlife
  • Marine life
  • Coral reefs
  • Beaches
  • Cultural sites

  • Hotels
  • Restaurants
  • Airlines
  • Ferry operators
  • National parks
  • Activity providers
  • Other tourism suppliers

We may coordinate these services as part of your booking.

Where a third-party supplier is responsible for a particular component, that supplier’s applicable terms and operational rules may also apply.

FLIGHTS AND FERRIES

Where your booking includes a flight or ferry service, the relevant carrier’s terms apply.

Yonazi Travel does not control third-party airline or ferry schedules.

Delays, cancellations and schedule changes may occur.

Customers should allow sufficient time for connections and independent travel arrangements.

PASSPORTS, VISAS AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have all required:

  • Passports
  • Visas
  • Travel permits
  • Immigration documents
  • Health documentation
  • Other legally required travel documents

Yonazi Travel may provide general travel information but does not guarantee visa approval, immigration clearance or entry into Tanzania.

We recommend that customers avoid carrying unnecessary valuables during excursions.

Yonazi Travel is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded or where such loss results from our proven negligence.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Where equipment is rented, including cameras or other equipment, customers are responsible for reasonable care of the equipment.

Customers may be responsible for repair or replacement costs where equipment is lost or damaged through their negligence or misuse, subject to applicable law.

CUSTOMER CONDUCT

Customers must behave respectfully toward staff, guides, drivers, other travelers, local communities and service providers.

Yonazi Travel may terminate a customer’s participation without refund where permitted by law if the customer:

  • Threatens or abuses staff or other guests
  • Engages in violent or dangerous behavior
  • Seriously disobeys safety instructions
  • Damages property
  • Harasses another person
  • Engages in unlawful conduct
  • Becomes intoxicated to an extent that creates a safety risk

ALCOHOL AND INTOXICATION

Customers must not participate in activities while intoxicated to a level that creates a safety risk.

The guide, captain or responsible operator may refuse participation where necessary for safety.

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER

Cancellation conditions may vary according to the specific product and booking channel.

Where a product page, quotation or booking platform provides specific cancellation terms, those terms apply to that booking.

For direct bookings with Yonazi Travel, the cancellation conditions communicated at the time of booking will apply.

Where no specific cancellation policy has been provided, the following general policy applies:

More than 72 hours before departure: cancellation may qualify for a refund, less any non-refundable costs already incurred.

Between 72 and 24 hours before departure: a partial refund may be available depending on the service and costs already incurred.

Less than 24 hours before departure: the booking may be non-refundable.

No-show: generally non-refundable.

Specific product cancellation conditions may differ from these general conditions.

NON-REFUNDABLE COSTS

Where permitted by the applicable booking conditions, refunds may be reduced by genuine non-refundable costs already incurred.

These may include:

  • Park fees
  • Government charges
  • Marine fees
  • Ferry tickets
  • Flight tickets
  • Third-party supplier charges

Where we cancel a service for reasons within our responsibility, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an appropriate alternative or refund in accordance with the applicable booking terms and law.

WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS

Zanzibar’s marine environment is affected by changing weather, tides, wind and sea conditions.

A captain, guide or responsible operator may modify or cancel part of an activity where necessary for safety.

Safety decisions take priority over maintaining a published itinerary exactly as written.

REFUNDS

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method where reasonably possible.

Processing time may depend on the payment provider, bank, card issuer or booking platform.

For bookings made through third-party platforms, the platform’s refund procedures may apply.

CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE RATES

Where the original payment and refund involve different currencies, exchange-rate differences may occur.

Yonazi Travel is not responsible for losses caused solely by currency fluctuations where the refund itself has been correctly processed.

GOVERNMENT FEES AND NEW CHARGES

Government authorities may introduce or change mandatory fees, taxes, park charges, marine fees or other official charges.

Where an additional mandatory charge becomes applicable after a booking has been made, we will communicate it to the customer where reasonably possible and where additional payment is legally or operationally required.
